Before joining Chuanmo, Thomas served as head of the Guangzhou office of a major Beijing-based intellectual property firm. Throughout his career, he has advised universities, pharmaceutical companies, technology enterprises, manufacturers, and other clients on intellectual property protection in China and overseas.

His technical experience covers bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, genetic engineering, mechanical technologies, and related technical fields.
In addition to patent matters, Thomas also assists clients with trademark searches, filing strategy, and portfolio coordination, especially where patents, trademarks, designs, or other IP rights need to support the same product launch, brand development, or overseas market strategy.
Thomas works with Chinese and international clients on cross-border intellectual property matters. His combination of technical background, patent prosecution experience, trademark portfolio coordination, and client-facing practice enables him to provide practical IP guidance based on each client’s technology, products, market plans, and procedural risks.
Among the matters he has handled, Thomas advised Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Company on overseas intellectual property planning, providing practical support for the company’s international market strategy.
