The White Paper outlines the progress and achievements of China's IP protection in 2023 from five aspects: protection effectiveness, institutional construction, examination, grant and registration, cultural development, and international cooperation.

The 2024 Meeting of IP5 Deputy Heads of Office was held via video conference recently. The meeting was hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) who held this year's presidency, with Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), leading the Chinese delegation. The meeting was chaired by Kim Shi-Hyeong, Vice Commissioner of the KIPO with Christoph Ernst, Vice President of the the European Patent Office (EPO), Katsura Masanori, Deputy Commissioner of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), and Valencia Martin Wallace, Deputy Commissioner of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) leading delegations respectively. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) also sent representatives to the meeting as observers.

Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) held talks with the visiting Michael Schwager, Director General of IP Australia. The two offices introduced the latest progress of IP work in their respective countries, conducted in-depth discussions on related topics, and jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation.

Recently, the "Mountains and Seas are Spiritual" French Yuyuan Lantern Festival, which is on display in the Paris Style Garden, held a lighting ceremony of the "Lucky Dragon" lamp group to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the opening of the Sino French Year of Culture and Tourism.
